Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan Felicitated
It was a night to remember as four legends - Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan shared the dais at a felicitation function in Mumbai on 13th November 2009.
The occasion was to felicitate batting legends Gavaskar and Viswanath as champion batsman Tendulkar and Bachchan felicitated the duo, who happen to be brothers-in-law in real life. Tendulkar spoke about how his idol Gavaskar personally came to greet him after he broke his record of 34 centuries.
He said it was indeed a touching moment to see Gavaskar waiting for him. Tendulkar also spoke about how Gavaskar wrote a letter to him in his school days, which served as an encouragement for him.
