After a successful curtain raiser by Neeta Lulla at Bombay Realty’s ICC Towers, Dadar (E); the fifth edition of Bombay Times Fashion Week Festive 2019 kicks off in style today, at The St. Regis Mumbai. The fashion extravaganza will culminate on October 13. The event will open with a strong social statement made by a gender-inclusive show by Archana Kochhar in association with Ample Missiion. Models will walk the ramp with transgenders, laying the foundation for a society where equal opportunities are given to all. Fresh from his directorial success (of a Marathi film), designer Vikram Phadnis will return to the ramp after a two-year hiatus to stage the Grand Finale of the three-day fashion soiree.

Hair Colour partner Streax Professional’s ‘Retro Funky’ theme will marry designer Payal Singhal’s ‘Musafir’ — a show encapsulating a mood board that is filled with throwback styles from the 70s! Ethnic wear brand Kalki also makes a comeback in yet another ramp outing with ‘Mehrang’, a collection that promises to redefine all things festive. INIFD Bandra will present seven lines under the show name, ‘Aspirations.’ Under the direction of their international fac- Syed, to name a few. ulty, the students of Raffles Design International will present a show titled ‘Runway Revisited.’ The closing show on Day 1 is by Popley & Sons Jewellers.
Dr Simple Aher, Cosmetologist and Dermatologist @SkinLoungeClinic, works on a charitable cause for acid attack survivors, and will down the ramp with them. Also, witness next generation pant suits and play suits from @fmrthestore’s #WorkWear collection by @_fashionismyreligion — which also marks the launch of Rohini’s label.
